While on the Craft Blog, I fell upon Polish Artist NeSpoon‘s gorgeous public installations that involve delicate lace doilies hung up like spider webs in different places like old monasteries, drift wood found at the beach or hung on trees. Here are some pics from her graffiti art as she calls it:
Aren’t they just beautiful? I especially love the installation at Oak Beach. So creative and lovely. I also love the photo of the shadow the doily casts on the sand when in the sun. I definitely could get behind this type of graffiti.
When I first saw this, I immediately thought how awesome this would be if hung on an outdoor wedding altar or hung somewhere in the woods or on the beach or even a large empty field sitting among rolling mountains. It’s intricate designs would definitely add a vintage feel and subtle design if done well to anything. I also love the idea of taking something like lace doilies that are usually associated with something of the past and making them modern piece of art.
What do you think?
From time to time, I hunt around for an awesome DIY project to do. I love all sorts of DIY things and when I had my wedding, I was one of those brides that put way too many awesome DIY projects on her plate.
While on the Craft website, I found this amazing DIY that I thought could be awesome for a Bride to do for her shoes or for her bridesmaids shoes. I’m talking about making LED Shoe Clips! Want to see what I mean? Click on the video below.
How cool is that? You can use already existing shoes and spruce it up with this. This has to be the most unique shoe clip that I’ve seen in the long time. You would definitely “light” up the night!
