Seriously, who doesn’t love project runway? I’m a total addict and is going through some serious withdrawals now that I’m living in Germany. However, I did catch a few of the shows before we had left and I must say, I wasn’t impressed with this season. I hope that it has gotten better since I’ve stopped watching it. However, on a random note, my best friend lives in one of the apartments that lived in by the models/designers. He had told me before, but I didn’t believe him until I actually saw it on the first show. Small World, huh?
But back to what this post is really about. Leann Marshall. Who is my FAVORITE project runway designer to come from the show. I just loved all of her clothes and was ecstatic she had won. I really loved the wedding dress that she had designed on the show. But not being engaged at the time and being tight on money, it just didn’t occur to me to go buy this dress. Oh, but if I could turn back time…
If you forgot what it looked like, here’s a pic:

Pretty freaking beautiful, huh? I just love how simple and elegant it is.
When I thought that she couldn’t top that dress, she does it with this one pictured below, the Helene wedding dress:
Hand made with eco-friendly fabrics, looks like the one that she had made for project runway, but oh-so different. I love the layers of airiness it has and triangles in top. However, I have say that I have a soft spot for short wedding dresses and secretly wish that I got one for my wedding. But not to knock my dress, which I totally loved, I always envied the brides that rocked the short wedding dresses.
The Helene Wedding Dress does come with a hefty price tag of $1,295. It is custom-made and I’m pretty sure that you will be the only one with this design. So, it has its pros and cons. If you love it as much as I do, you can probably justify reasons for buying it.
To whoever buys this dress, I hope you enjoy it as much as I think you will.
